While I was studying at Indiana University, I took a graphic design class to help aid me with my designs. It taught me valuable research skills in designing for clients as well as adopting an art style to fit the client.
For this, I was tasked in researching one club at the university and centering my projects around the club. The club I chose was called "Hoosier Games" which was an independent student run game development club.
First Project
For my first Project, I had to design a persona booklet in which I observed club meetings to develop personas to help have a better understanding of how the club operated. I did this project using Photoshop, but mainly Illustrator.
Below is a PDF link for the full persona booklet.

The persona booklet taught me various things new methods of graphic design that I haven't thought of before, specifically the way in which one must conduct research to help understand who the consumer is. Below are some some quick examples of the persona booklet if you don't want to view the whole PDF.
Second Project
For the second project, I was tasked in making artboards using the personas I just created in the persona booklets. The artboards would focus on issues relating to the club when certain problems came up. I did this project using Photoshop and Illustrator. Below are the 3 artboards I created.
Artboard 1
Artboard 2
Artboard 3
This project really helped me develop my graphic design skills and helped create good image flow. It was a simple project, but I learned from it.
Third Project
This project was actually my favorite to work on and consider it one of my main achievements in design. A concept map detailing the club and it's various processes on how to join. I feel that this concept map is extremely easy to read and well designed. Made using Photoshop!

All of the logos and such were made by me! Overall, I really learned how to make information flow from this project to the fullest!
Fourth Project
The fourth project involved me creating an app for Hoosier Games and was the final project for this class. This one involved the most work and consists of creating an app and making art boards detailing user interaction and ideas on how the app could work. For this project, I designed a team communication app (similar to Slack and Discord which is what inspired it) that allowed teams to create channels and set up source control within their projects. Made using Illustrator only. Below is a PDF link and some examples of various pages! (There are 59 pages in total, so you may want to check out the full PDF.)

Now I will show some example images.
Main Page when people open app.
What you see when you open a channel.
Starting a thread.
Replying to thread.
Messages in app.
Right click users name to bring up settings, then start call.
If these images look interesting, please check out the full PDF which has 2 other moments consisting of how source control would work and one detailing how a user would create a channel.
Conclusion
This class really aided me in my graphic design skills and even allowed me to showcase me UX skills. I think this benefited me significantly.
